Packed with Intel's wireless technology, this product
transfers traditional handwriting into text input. The product is
composed of a pen, with which people write on a normal sheet of
paper, and a receiver to transfer the written message or drawings
to the computer for recognition. This technology can be used in
different applications in place of a mouse or a tool for sketching,
for example.
Design
The overall design strategy was to create a unified,
cohesive look for the pen and receiver through similar design elements,
including a compact form for both pieces. For the pen, the primary
focus was ergonomic considerations to realize a perfect writing
experience. s.point chose a rounded form to allow a variety of alternatives
grips and to function well in combination with control buttons.
For the receiver, the key goal was to design a superior clip structure
while also considering the manufacturing cost.
